If you just want to optimize your s3o, or fix null normals, hit the Optimize S3O button.

  1. Click "Convert S3O to OBJ" and select your S3O file
  1. In Wings3D, import the OBJ mesh
  1. Do your thing, but take care not to remove or add bodies to the mesh
  1. Export to OBJ.
  1. In OBJ2S3O select Convert OBJ to S3O
  1. Done.
