Description

I'm not sure if I should be making Chili tickets here or not, but I'll just mention a few things briefly.

  • Is it possible to turn music off? I can't find an actual option for this other than just turning the volume to 0.
  • There's a big lack of padding in some components, adding to the "cluttered" feel.
  • Is it possible to move GUI components around? Again, I can't find the option anywhere.
  • Why is the menu popup so small? You have lots of information to display with a bunch of tabs, sub-menus and tiny sliders everywhere. Why not make the menu a lot bigger or even full-screen like a lot of other games? Edit: Nvm, just found it's possible to resize the menu, including shrink it to tiny proportions making it break...
  • How come there's only a handful of graphics settings available ingame? I still need to use Spring-settings to do everything else.
  • How do I see my exact ping? I see a number "30" next to my name and I have no idea what that means, but it doesn't change at all, so I doubt it's ping.
  • Some Chili themes seem to make a lot of things look out of place and text overlapping its containers and things.

Overall, I must say Chili has come a long way from when I used to play. It's definitely something I think could eventually grow on me now :P

| Is it possible to turn music off?

Remove the music player widget

| How come there's only a handful of graphics settings available ingame?

Many settings cannot be changed while ingame

| How do I see my exact ping?

Ping in spring is not what ping means in real life, due to buffering of frames. The number next to your name is your TrueSkill rating and "ping" is only displayed using colours.

Remove the music player widget

Bit of a hacky way for players to do it, no?

Many settings cannot be changed while ingame

Good point, fair enough.

Ah ok, didn't know this. I had no idea that number was Trueskill rating btw, maybe needs a chili tooltip somewhere to make it clearer.
