customunitshaders is very expensive on the cpu, despite it being rather lightweight :(

i think what i said in that link is wrong because the gadget profiler isn't capturing the impact of the custom unit shader gadget - how do you measure this?

try magic forest! custom unit shader seems pretty heavy

BAR /give all with deferred on, and toggling customunitshaders changes the FPS from 33 to 54 :(

imo its useful to also do a test of some "proper" games (both light and heavcy) using my save/replay stuff

should add a checkbox for it in optionMenu
