Core buildpics - are they better now?

Description

They were pretty bland and uniformly shaded to begin with (the buildpic generator does uniform shading, and the levels of brightness on the core atlas are very limited).

I added some vertex AO to them, are they any better now?

In general they look better - I found a couple of issues: (1) a baked blue raindrop appears into the top left corner for water units (it shouldn't be present at all) (2) moho exploiters buildpic is mangled

Also, I wonder if the panels that flash could be a little less dark?

What do you mean, exactly?

The panels that flash = self illumination parts?

The odd thing is, that unit icon generator doesnteven read the texture2 for self-illum info.

Also, since the addition of vertex AO, the core self illuminated bits are significantly darker, for the worse imo. b.

Yep, I mean the self illuminated parts e.g. the yellow panels on the side of a corestor.

Oh, it was early morning, a little less dark != darker :P Yeah i prolly need to rethink that bit a little, back to the drawing board

Status: newclosed

Reopen if they are still not good enough, fixed as much as i can for now.
